Overview

University Marketing & Communications is looking for a creative and dependable individual to assist with the creation and delivery marketing videos and photo content. We are looking for a videographer with proven experience, is attentive to detail and has a creative eye. This position will report to our Director of Photo & Video and work on a team of talented creatives. We are open to applicants that might not be here for the summer, but will be back in the fall.


We create everything from 30-second national commercials, social ads, and a variety of other video content that represents Utah State University and the Statewide Campuses. This position will likely have a few scheduled days each week in the office and then flex in time as needed depending edits and shoots.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize assets – keywording/renaming files on our server
  • Knowledge of Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve
  • Follow guidance and work with marketing managers to complete video edits
  • Operate Mirrorless cameras, lighting and audio during productions
  • Detail oriented – excellent written and verbal communication
  • Communicate and update status of tasks in Clickup (project management platform)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of video editing experience, FCPX preferred
  • Understanding of foundational skills related to shooting video and photo
  • Proficiency in export settings – resolution, codecs, bitrate
  • Ability to complete tasks and work without direct supervision
  • Daytime availability is a must with occasional evening and weekend requirements.

This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
