Overview

Work the front desk of Bunnell Dmitrich Athletic Center (BDAC) checking patrons in and helping with general use of the BDAC. The successful applicant will be assigned to work at various BDAC activities such as concerts, student activities and student athletic events. 

Responsibilities

  • Check in patrons of BDAC
  • Assist in various cleaning jobs in the BDAC
  • Assist with game management and student activities
  • May help with score keeping
  • Input statistics for athletic events and scan, email, and input information on Side-Arm computer program for NJCAA website
  • Take and sell tickets
  • Assist with concessions
  • Help with filming the athletic events
  • Assist with other duties as assigned/needed for events

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires reading, communication, and problem solving skills equivalent to a high school education or GED.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Must give excellent customer service while assisting patrons of the BDAC in a professional and timely manner.
  • Must be able to work some weekends.
  • Must be a team player who can work with the students, members of the community, and athletes.
  • Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings.
  • Team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Productive worker with solid work ethic who exerts effort in successfully completing tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with game management duties.
