Overview

Incumbents in the Staff Assistant I position will perform a variety of administrative support and/or secretarial duties for a specified department or program.


Utah State University Extension in Kane County is actively involved in providing high quality programming in the areas of 4-H and STEM, Agriculture, Health and Wellness, Nutrition, Family Relationships and Economic Development. We are seeking to add an energetic person to the Kane County team. Someone who works well with others in a high energy and changing workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Manage finances for the Agriculture, 4-H and Family Consumer Science Faculty
  • Submit weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required
  • Assist with online 4-H enrollment
  • Manage social media events (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Manage event registration
  • Provide day of support for extension events (including nights and weekends)
  • Track inventory for 4-H program
  • Employ innovative approaches to reach diverse audiences (advertise and market)
  • Evaluate, document and report impacts
  • Coordinate with administrators to manage budgets, schedules, leave and other job-related activities
  • Support the civil rights mandate of Kane County
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or aptitude is required.
