This position coordinates the administration of the statewide delivery of USU's Concurrent Enrollment program. This role includes coordination of CE programs with the Statewide Campuses, the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), and the Commissioner of Higher Education's office. The Assistant Registrar works under the direction of the University Registrar in managing designated operations of the Registrar's Office.


  • Lead USU's statewide Concurrent Enrollment program and staff in providing friendly, efficient service to students on multiple campuses and centers throughout the state of Utah.
    • Work with the Registrar to establish CE policies.
    • Disseminate CE policies and information to the statewide campuses.
    • Supervise Staff Assistants who perform the day to day operations of CE including corresponding with students, parents, faculty, high school registrars, counselors, and
  • Responsible to assist University Registrar in managing designated operations of the Registrar's Office, specifically Degree Works and curriculum.
  • Represent USU at statewide Utah Alliance for Concurrent Enrollment Partners (UACEP) quarterly meetings.
  • Direct the Cache Valley, Logan, Rich, Idaho, and Wyoming CE program, budget, and personnel.
  • Work with department heads in the assignment of adjunct instructors for statewide broadcast CE courses; arrange payment for those instructors from CE funds.
  • In coordination with AIS Business Services, prepare the annual statewide allocation of CE funds for the Registrar to approve.
  • In coordination with statewide campuses, keep USU partner high schools informed of new laws and USU policies affecting CE.
  • Oversee the annual USHE funds from the CE Participation Form MOU.
  • Oversee the Increasing Quantitative Literacy in High Schools (SB 196) grant from the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE).
  • Work with USU's diversity specialist to increase Latino and other diverse population's enrollments into CE courses.
  • Provide leadership with the major systems used by the Registrar's Office, including Degree Works, Acalog, Curriculog, and Banner.
  • Lead staff in providing friendly, efficient service to students on multiple campuses and centers throughout the state of Utah. Assist in providing leadership in the professional development of staff and in addressing staffing issues that may arise.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years experience in administering programs, creating and/or interpreting policies.
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.
  • Strong leadership philosophy demonstrated by ability to take initiative, exercise appropriate judgement in decision making, and hold team members accountable for achieving goals together.
  • Proven adaptability with new technology solutions, databases, and student information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with administrators and public-school educators.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education or a related field.
  • Five years experience in public education and/or higher education administration, including budget management.
  • Experience with Banner, Degree Works, College Scheduler, Acalog, Curriculog, and/or ServiceNow.
