The Dean’s Office at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business is now accepting applications for a full-time undergraduate Recruiter I that will assist in the recruiting of undergraduate business students. The selected candidate will be responsible for the efforts associated with each stage of the recruitment funnel. The Recruiter I will be accountable to recruit high school and transfer students with high academic and leadership profiles to attend the Huntsman School of Business as full-time students.


The position will be based out of Logan, UT. However, the Recruiter I will travel around the state of Utah on a weekly basis to attend events and present in classrooms. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruit high school and transfer students to enroll as a full-time business student on the Logan campus.
  • Provide consistent growth in admission and enrollment for the Huntsman School of Business undergraduate programs. 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Sell the Huntsman School of Business experience through presentations in high school classrooms all over the state of Utah.
  • Foster and manage relationships with high school influencers (principals, teachers and counselors).
  • Plan and execute several large, on-campus events for prospective students.
  • Write and execute annual communication plans (emails, mailers, etc.).
  • Filter and answer questions about the Huntsman School for potential students, parents, current students, and employers.
  • In conjunction with the Deans office, work within the track of the undergraduate recruitment budget.
  • Design concepts and write content for all marketing materials relevant to the potential student audience.
  • Properly manage and report recruitment data from the CRM(s).
  • Identify creative potential growth markets or recruitment/retention strategies.
  • Manage 10 current business students who are selected as Business Ambassadors.


Minimum Qualifications:    

  • Minimum 4 year experience in recruiting, admissions, registration, or a student services, or marketing-related area or a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Understanding of admission and scholarship requirements and procedures.
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
  • Extensive public speaking experience.
  • Ability to work with a variety of audiences including prospective students (traditional & non-traditional), parents, advisors and alumni.
  • Event development and coordination.
  • Ability to multitask and initiate new projects.
  • Willingness to travel (50% of position), evening and weekend work.
  • Knowledge of/and appreciation for higher education.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and social media networks, and willingness to learn new computer programs.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or some graduate work.
  • Familiarity with SalesForce and Recruiter CRM Software.
  • Experience with multicultural populations.
  • Education or experience in public relations/marketing.
  • Strong computer skills, web publishing experience.
  • Supervision of students and/or student groups.
  • Some tele counseling experience.
