Overview

The Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence is a interdisciplinary health center located on USU's campus and is currently seeking a part-time clinic receptionist to support several service lines in the Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence.

 

In total 19 hours per week. 7 hours must be completed between Tuesdays, from 8am-12pm, and Wednesdays, from 4pm-7pm. Remaining 11 hours can be completed in alternative times throughout the workweek.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and take payments for in person and telehealth appointments using the EMR system, PointNClick and Clover, point of sale (POS) machine
  • Schedule rooms in the scheduling system, EMS
  • Maintain clients’ medical records in the EMR system, PointNClick by scanning files and entering data
  • In a timely manner communicate with the clients via phone and/or email about services, appointments, paperwork and payments needed
  • Reserve and print parking passes for the clients
  • Submit custodial needs and cleanup request
  • Meet with clinicians regularly to assess needs
  • Manage wait-list
  • Manage evaluation forms
  • Report to the clinic’s Customer Care Representative
  • Contributes to team effort by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception area
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Maintains current HIPAA training and standards
  • Make regular suggestions that improve Sorenson Center process
  • Help with ongoing clinic projects
  • Other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of professional work experience in a medical setting or reception position
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA standards
  • Reliable, trustworthy, good worker
  • Friendly, outgoing, people-person
  • Independent Worker
  • Excellent spoken and written language skills
  • Able to plan at least two weeks ahead and adjust schedule

Preferred Qualification:

  • Familiar with the PointNClick EMR system
  • Familiar with the EMS system
  • Familiar with Clover POS
