The Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at Utah State University (USU) seeks to hire a Professional Practice Assistant Professor in Sport Management. The highly qualified candidate will have had experiences within professional and educational settings. The position will primarily support the master's degree in Sport Management and the undergraduate program emphasis in Sport Management at USU.

This position will be physically located at the USU main campus in Logan with a 90% role assignment in teaching and a 10% role assignment in service. The Department of Technology, Design, and Technical Education (TDTE) at Utah State University (USU) seeks candidates for a full-time, academic-year (9-month), non-tenure track term lecturer position that offers benefits. There is a possible opportunity if there is student demand, and department need to extend teaching into summer months. This position is for the business certificate and associate degree programs at the USU Eastern campus in Price, Utah. The appointment is 95% teaching and 5% service. The faculty member will be responsible for initiation and implementation of successful business classes that connect to technical certificates, and stack into associate and bachelor’s degree programs. This hire will also be responsible for contributing to sustainable enrollment in the classes they instruct.

Under the direction of the of Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), the Director of Mental Wellness for Athletics will provide counseling and psychological services to the student-athlete community, and will have direct oversight of the mental wellness and mental performance aspect of the USU Athletics Department. This position will be a member of CAPS, but will be primarily housed within USU Athletics. They will maintain dual reporting lines to CAPS Director (primary supervisor) and the Associate Athletics Director – Director of Sports Medicine. This is a 12-month position on the USU-Logan campus.
The Director of Mental Wellness for Athletics will work with approximately 400 student athletes and 21 athletic teams. They must be able to work within a team dynamic and view the student athlete from a holistic perspective. This position will be a valuable addition to, and member of, the Utah State University Athletics Student Athlete Wellness Team (SAWT). The SAWT is a multidisciplinary team that is intricately involved in the health and wellbeing of the student athletes.
The Director of Mental Wellness for Athletics will be responsible for coordinating mental wellness programs and support for the USU Athletics Department. They will provide services such as, but not limited to, brief individual therapy, crisis interventions, consultations with coaches and other Athletics staff, mental health assessments, mental health education to student athletes and sports programs, drug and alcohol counseling, eating disorder and disordered eating evaluations, ADD/ADHD evaluations, and other services that fall under the scope of student athlete mental wellness. There will be some weekends and after-hours requirements, depending on the needs of the student athletes.

The Data and Voice Technician (Telecommunications Technician) will perform and fully document IT infrastructure "Moves, Adds, and Changes" to meet contractor, student, faculty, and staff needs for voice and data connections, including telephone handsets, and edge data infrastructure. The Dolores Dore Eccles Center for Early Care and Education includes five classrooms/programs: Infants, Toddlers, Junior Preschool, and Senior Preschool serving children from approximately 6 weeks through 6 years old. The primary assignment for this position will be with toddler and preschool age children. The Center serves two primary purposes:
- To provide and maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children in the context of establishing mutually supportive partnerships with families.
- To afford a meaningful learning experience for university students earning academic credit in early childhood education and other related disciplines through on-site teaching and mentoring.
The early childhood Teacher Aid is a full time 40 hour per week non-exempt position. The general work schedule is Monday through Friday with varying hours from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and occasional evenings. Utah State University’s STARS! GEAR UP program is hiring a College Advisor to support college freshman and high school seniors as they transition from high school to college. As part of the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Program (GEAR UP), the program provides academic preparation services to students and their families in partner school districts serving low-income communities. This will be 100% FTE one-year positions with the opportunity to be extended for future years.
The GEAR UP College Advisor will act as a mentor to oversee first-year college students associated with the GEAR UP program. The College Advisor will regularly meet with students, and at times parents, to discuss college going strategies, help with class and major selection, answer questions about financial aid and scholarships, and assist with the transition from high school to college. Additionally, the Coordinator may meet with faculty, staff, and other GEAR UP officials to develop workshops, student events, rigorous educational opportunities, and connect students to the resources necessary for them to succeed in higher education. This role will work to create professional partnerships with higher educational institutions throughout Utah in order to help GEAR UP reach grant goals and objectives.
The College Advisor will also provide college preparation opportunities for GEAR UP high school students, supporting partner schools in their region directly. Activities include providing career and college exploration advising, assisting with scholarships and FAFSA, facilitating campus visits, and building a presence as a familiar face at the schools.
The Salt Lake College Advisor will be responsible for working with USU STARS! GEAR UP students at Salt Lake colleges (U of U, SLCC, Westminster, UVU, BYU), as well as those who attend Great Basin College and Uintah Basin Technical College. Travel will be required to meet with students at each of the campuses and be available for workshops and help with campus events. The College Advisor will be expected to work on site with our GEAR UP students at least 2 days per week.
The Salt Lake College Advisor will work closely with the Southern Utah Year 7 coordinator and our USU STARS! Program Coordinator on programmatic planning to meet GEAR UP goals and objectives.
