Overview

The USU Blanding Health Professions has an opening for a Medical Assistant Program lab assistant to assist students in the lab portion of their training.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  1. Act under the general supervision of the Medical Assistant program instructor and the Director of Health Professions
  2. Cooperate with the instructor in scheduling any make up or additional labs as needed
  3. Along with the instructor, demonstrate proper lab techniques
  4. Supervise, evaluate and document student lab performance
  5. Perform other duties associated with lab maintenance and order as directed by the program instructor and Director of Health Professions

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have an RMA or CMA in Medical Assisting.
  • At least two years experience working as an Medical Assistant.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

The clinical lab assistant will work with the Medical Assistant Program. The course is located at Utah State University Blanding's Health Professions Building located at 344 West 800 North. This program provides quality education and preparation for students who are interested in a career in Health Professions.
