Overview

Ticket Operations Cashiers in the integrated USU Event Services department are responsible for selling tickets at the USU Ticket Office and the Caine College of the Arts (CCA) Box Office.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to: answering questions and providing friendly customer service, selling tickets for all ticketed events in USU Athletics and Caine College of Arts Venues, enforcing departmental policies and following proper cash handling procedures, communicating and referring problems to the manager in charge, making outbound sales calls to generate ticket sales, and building positive relationships with all customers/patrons.

 

Employees are expected to work some daytime office hours and are required to work every home football game.

 

All other hours are flexible and vary with schedule of home games/events which mainly include nights, weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

Individuals who have been involved in arts or sports events at Utah State University are preferred. A high degree of professionalism along with tactful communication and strong people skills are a key in this position. The ability to problem solve as well as to execute instructions quickly in a calm and organized manner is a must. Employees must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude and know how to communicate clearly in a team environment. In addition to working variable hours, those at events are also expected to maintain a professional appearance and stand for long periods of time.This position does have promotion potential, so those with self-motivation leadership skills are encouraged to apply.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
