Dining Services Custodial Position for the Junction Dining Hall. This is an On-Campus ACA Variable Hours position.


The custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility. This includes, though not limited to the following:

  • Trash removal
  • Restroom cleaning
  • Hard floor & carpet care
  • Vacuuming
  • General cleaning of dining & kitchen areas
  • Deep cleaning dining & kitchen areas including hood fans, fryers, other kitchen and bakery equipment
  • Window cleaning
  • Use of cleaning tools, chemicals and equipment
  • General maintenance.
  • It is their responsibility to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed as scheduled. (Schedules may vary for each facility.)

The custodial position requires the ability to perform the following things on a repetitive basis:

  • Bending
  • Lifting (over 50 pounds).
  • Kneeling
  • Crouching
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Reaching over head.
  • Repetitive hand, elbow, shoulder, back etc. motion.


  • 2 years previous custodial experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit if hired.
  • US Work Authorization is required.

Advertised Salary

This position requires moderate physical effort.  Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing.  Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
