The Registrar's Office at Utah State University is looking for a highly qualified, customer-service oriented person. This person will work with students, faculty, staff, and others to provide expertise and guidance on Registrar's Office and University service, policies, and procedures. This is a full time position.


  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Become proficient in USU's student information system - Banner
  • Be courteous, upbeat, and professional
  • Correspond daily with students and university staff, via email, phone, and in person
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Perform other job-related duties or projects as needed


Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in an office setting or an associate degree/vocational training is required.
  • Demonstrated strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills and adaptability to new technologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Ability to interpret and apply various guidelines, policies, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience using the Banner student information system as a student or employee
  • Demonstrated experience in current web-based technology such as Box, and ServiceNow

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students through a variety of mediums (phone, in-person, email).
  • Skilled with computers and able to adapt to and learn new technologies as required.
  • Ability to interpret and apply guidelines, policies, procedures, and rules using sound judgement.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to formulate solutions to problems.
  • Strong data and records management skills.
  • Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
  • Strong consultative and advisory skills.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to University student admissions, registration, and records

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
