Under the direction of the Associate Vice President/Deputy AD - External Affairs and the Associate Athletic Director of Development, the Development Coordinator - Staff Assistant III is responsible for assisting in all aspects of athletic development operations (Aggies Unlimited), including, but not limited to: annual giving, major gifts, planned gifts, endowments, and special events. The position also provides administrative support for the Associate Vice President/Deputy AD - External Affairs and the Vice President/Director of Athletics.


  • Oversee athletics donor stewardship efforts, thanking supporters in a timely and appropriate manner based on giving level.
  • Assist with inquiries relating to donations, tickets, and other athletic development related items.
  • Assist with execution of Aggies Unlimited communications as directed, including solicitations and stewardship.
  • Utilize Paciolan and Millennium donor & ticketing software for data entry, gift processing, record keeping, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain consistent communication with various campus entities, including the USU ticket office, advancement services (gift processing, research, and alumni relations), and other university entities.
  • Assist with special fundraising events as directed, including golf tournaments, auctions, receptions, luncheons, etc.
  • Prepare, distribute and track all Maverik Stadium and Dee Glen Smith Spectrum premium suite invoices and payments. 
  • Assist with football parking sales, management, and customer service. 
  • Provide customer service and communications for Maverik Stadium Suite and Premium Seat holders.
  • Provide administrative support for the athletics department, the development unit, the Associate Vice President/Deputy AD - External Affairs and the Vice President/Director of Athletics.. i.e. managing phones, emails, meeting schedules, walk-up office visits and special events as directed.
  • Prepare agendas, schedule/attend meetings, and record minutes. Review emails, letters, and other documents to help ensure accuracy. Screen calls and forward messages. Compose, prepare, and proofread letters, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Will work some nights and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four years related office support work OR an Associate's degree plus two years office support work OR a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to work under pressure to handle multiple prospects and requests, and meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to foster positive interpersonal relationships and professional image with external and internal constituencies by adhering to customer service standards.
  • Commitment to following NCAA rules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful experience working within a college athletics and/or a university setting.
  • Understanding of university fundraising operations.
  • Customer service related job experience.
  • Record of success in establishing positive relationships with boosters, alumni, students, faculty, and staff.
