This position requires the performance of a wide range of administrative support duties at the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter that relate to the operation of the center and its environmental education and conservation programs. Some of the responsibilities will be routine, although the qualified applicant will be able to handle out-of-the-ordinary projects and problems as they arise. Hours will be regular business hours. Some evening/weekend work will be necessary. This is a full time benefited position.
The Staff Assistant must be highly organized, personable, flexible, and team-oriented. They should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Minimum Qualifications Staff Assistant II:
Two years of experience in an office setting or an associate degree/vocational training is required.
Must be a team player who enjoys working closely with coworkers, visitors, volunteers, and others.
Must display exceptional human relation skills and be able to pleasantly interact with a wide variety of individuals.
Willing and eager to learn new things.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
Professional work manner.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Consistent attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills and a proficient knowledge of a variety of Microsoft programs.
Occasional flexibility in work schedule required for evening and weekend events.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for Staff Assistant III:
Four years directly related office support work experience with increasing responsibilities OR an Associate’s degree or certification(s) in a designated field plus two years of directly related office support work experience with increasing responsibilities OR a Bachelor's degree.
