Utah State University Extension invites applications for a 4-H Graphic Designer II position. This position will coordinate all graphic design and website management efforts on behalf of the Utah 4-H program. This position will also be responsible for providing assistance to County Extension 4-H staff in order to maintain and ensure the branding of the organization.


  • Manage the Utah 4-H website. Maintain the overall aesthetics and brand representation, make updates in a timely manner, and create the graphic content for the site
  • Manage all graphic design projects to fit the needs of the Utah 4-H projects
  • Create content for social media, websites, advertising campaigns and any other digital media as needed
  • Provide support for 4-H State Events by designing t-shirt logos, schedules and other event documents, making nametags, and other assignments as needed
  • Provide the design work for publications, such as program guides, manuals, rule and regulation books, policy documents and other projects as needed
  • Provide graphic design and formatting for project-specific program needs
  • Provide graphic design assistance to County Extension 4-H staff as needed
  • Provide web page management assistance to County Extension 4-H staff as needed
  • May provide training to Extension 4-H staff in graphic design and website management topics and procedures
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
  • Experience with graphic design
  • Experience in using design-related programs, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Spark, Canva, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of 4-H and/or USU Extension Programs
  • Knowledge of web management

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
