College/Department Highlights

The Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS) provides an outstanding opportunity for students to gain the skills and experience needed in an increasingly data-driven world, and to use information and data technologies to inform strategic decision-making in the private and public sectors. Students in DAIS learn how to problem-solve with advanced database management, programming, and analytics tools, collaborating with faculty who are at the forefront of these fields. Students also have the opportunity to network and apply their learning in real-world settings, through internships, student clubs, and Huntsman School events. The future Analytics Solutions Center within the DAIS department will house the ongoing projects that have been developed over the past two years with external partners and sponsors. These collaborations provide a key experiential opportunity for students to work on real-world analytics problems under the guidance of faculty and partner mentors.
