This position reports directly to the Box Office Manager and works in a collaborative environment with CCA faculty and staff, other University groups, and USU students and patrons.


This job posting is specifically for the 2022 Summer Season. If you will not be in Logan for the summer, please do not apply to this job posting. Position will start in April and can extend into Fall 2022 semester.


  • Selling tickets to events happening in the Fine Arts venues during office hours and at the event and providing customer service at all times.
  • Keeping box office clean and in order.
  • Preparing tickets to be mailed, answering phones, helping patrons at the window.
  • Keeping up with event information allowing questions to be answered appropriately.
  • Being able to look up other events happening in Cache Valley and providing accurate information.
  • Ensuring that the maximum information is captured for all ticket sales. Completing transactions accurately and following cash handling policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Attending meetings as scheduled (usually 1 – 2 staff meetings per semester).


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Nights, weekends, and some holidays are required. (Events occur Mon-Sat, between 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., depending on start time; there are occasional Sunday events)
  • Articulate oral and written communication.
  • Excellent customer service and cashier experience in ticket office or comparable position that communicated with people, provided a service, and handled cash.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel, multi-line telephone system, and trouble-shooting skills.
  • A love of performing arts (theatre and music).

Advertised Salary

$10.00 per hour


Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
