The Aviation and Technical Education department at Utah State University seeks two individuals to fill non-tenure track faculty positions (95% teaching and 5% Service) in the Cosmetology program at USU Eastern located in Price, Utah. Estimated start date for both positions is July 1 and August 1, 2022.
The Cosmetology program at USU Eastern focuses upon student success and the students receive 100% of their instruction in a face-to-face setting with members of the Cosmetology instructor team. Students who complete this program are prepared to take the State Board Exam to become a Licensed Cosmetologist. Students gain experience in Cosmetology, Barbering, Nails, and Skincare. Students may also choose to complete the Nail Technician program, the Lash program, or the Barbering program. Students prepare a portfolio to use as they interview for employment. All graduates of the Cosmetology program are prepared to work in a full-service salon.

The department of Aviation and Technical Education (AVTE) provides instruction to students seeking a certificate, or an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree. These innovative degree programs allow students to gain expertise in the fields of aviation, business, cosmetology, machinery, and technology.
AVTE degrees are available in Logan, Brigham City, Price, Blanding, and Moab. Students are encouraged to enhance their education through hands-on application using specialized classrooms and laboratories throughout the state. Additionally, various industries and communities are served by career and technical (vocational) certifications offered through the Workforce Education division at USU-Eastern
