Overview

Eastern Mail and Motor Pool provides mail, motor pool, and surplus services to the Utah State University Eastern campus. The position of Coordinator of Service II will provide customer service and support in all areas of our service. This position will perform clerical services, forklift operations, mail sorting, and freight delivery. This position will also assist in the motor pool with vehicle reservations and be responsible for other duties as assigned.  The Coordinator of Service II should have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, have computer skills, prioritize safety, and be a critical thinker.  This is a full-time, benefited position with a requirement of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students at our customer service counter.
  • All mail and freight receiving, and daily campus mail and package deliveries
  • Arrange pick-up for FedEx and UPS packages.
  • Creating vehicle reservations and submitting requests for approvals.
  • Support in the motor pool and all other areas of our service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience or an associate degree/vocational training.
  • Customer Service experience
  • Cash Handling experience
  • Must be dependable and able to work the hours of service
  • Must have a valid driver's license to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Must be at least the age of 18
  • Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualification:

  • Forklift and freight experience is a plus but not required

  • The ideal candidate for this position would have the following skills:
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to operate computers and other office equipment
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Strong organization and critical thinking skills
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Willing to learn new procedures and adapt to a changing environment
    • Have the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks and be willing to work as a team
    • Be able to interpret and follow all procedures, including safety procedures
    • Be able to lift and move heavy objects safely
    • Ability to work with or without supervision
    • Be willing to learn equipment operations and ask questions to understand
    • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of our customers
