Utah State University, has an excellent opening for the Manager I for the USU Bastian Agricultural Center. Responsible for the day to day operations of directing events and managing crews at the Bastian Agricultural Center.  Supervise and monitor work performed by crews, contractors, and subcontractors.


  • Manage the Bastian Agricultural Center Operations of events.
  • Possess a working knowledge of operational events.
  • Provide support for ongoing and future Bastian Agricultural Center improvements.
  • Expand upon working relationships with county partners.
  • Assist in annual strategic planning and capital project reviews.
  • Supervise and manage event crews at the Bastian Agricultural Center.  
  • Work alongside staff to educate them with best practices.  
  • Communicate job expectations, assign and review work tasks.  
  • Monitor and inspect all work in progress by all staff, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Follow all USU policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, monitor, and enforce work related safety practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a closely related field; OR a bachelor's degree plus one year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Principal knowledge and methods of supervision.
  • Communicate clearly in both written and oral form.
  • Work with the general public and/or large groups and events.
  • Ability to withstand odors, dander, etc. presented by exposure to large animals (horses, cattle, etc.)
