Overview

We are looking for a professional, creative and self-motivated person to effectively and efficiently market our academic and service programs to a broad audience through a variety of platforms. This individual have excellent communication skills and experience in the use of social media platforms, graphic design, and website management. The marketing and communications coordinator will report directly to the Department Head and will collaborate with staff and faculty of the NDFS department, Aggie Ice Cream and the marketing team of the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a marketing plan for the department and Aggie Ice Cream that includes posting relevant content to designated platforms at least 3 times per week.
  • Curate and manage departmental and creamery social media accounts on different platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.
  • Create and publish an end of year departmental newsletter.
  • Communicate with faculty and staff to obtain information needed to create content consistent with the marketing plan.
  • Manage a department email account.
  • Track and report analytics of the various platforms.
  • Manage and update content on websites.
  • Be compliant with university social media and website requirements.
  • Capture pictures and or videos for promotion content.
  • Assist in basic office functions as needed. These duties may include receiving and signing for packages, answering the phone, and distributing mail.

Qualifications

  • Must have demonstrable social networking experience and be proficient in using social media platforms and website management.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
