Overview

The MyUSU Coordinator (Coordinator III) plays a critical role in helping to guide the transition between project implementation and on-going product support for the MyUSU system. Responsibilities include identifying, creating, and distributing personalized and targeted communication and connections through announcements, ads, groups, pages, and tools to all USU audiences informing them of university tools, services, organizations, and programs university wide. This position has funding secured through Fall 2025, with prolonged duration contingent upon funding and requirements of the department. 

Responsibilities

Platform Management and Maintenance

  • Performs platform management and maintenance duties, including editing and scheduling content, audits, updates, organization and function of features.
  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day management of communication, admin support, user help, and platform functionality.
  • Seeks ways to improve efficiency of features and may participate in the development and implementation of policies and streamline procedures.
  • May write, edit, and coordinate the development of promotional materials, educational and training materials, and digital content, as requested.
  • Assist in the creation of university-wide MyUSU Groups, Pages, Tools and other platform features as determine.
  • May calculate and prepare budget and data reports.
  • Lead off communications with the MyUSU Implementation committee in weekly meetings delegating tasks and support under the direction of the Student Affairs Marketing and Communications Director.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Admin Support and Training

  • Provides support to MyUSU platform, group, and page administration.
  • Advises students, faculty, and staff of the specific requirements, regulations, services, etc.
  • Assists in training, instruction, and/or consultation to students, faculty, and/or staff in the use of specialized MyUSU services and functions.

User Support and Relationships

  • Serves as the liaison between the Student Affairs Marketing and Communications Director and MyUSU administration, faculty, staff, and students utilizing the platform escalating issues to the director.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive relationship between the University, vendor, and other USU organizations.
  • Support the Student Affairs Marketing and Communications Director in leading the MyUSU Advisory Committee, a group of representatives across the university representing statewide, IT, Student Affairs, Academic and Instructional Services, faculty staff, students, and more.

Recruitment and Outreach

  • Represents the MyUSU platform and team in a positive manner with students, staff, faculty, and the community.
  • Support recruitment and outreach efforts to help other USU Organizations learn about MyUSU platform functions and services.
  • May coordinate and promote MyUSU features and functionalities.
  • May coordinate MyUSU activities and booths for USU events.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of experience; or an associate degree plus two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree is required.
