Overview

The Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence is seeking a part-time center receptionist.  The position will welcome and assist Sorenson Center clients either at the general information desk or in one of the four specific clinics within the Sorenson Center. Receptionists are expected to give directions, answer service or building related questions, provide proper paperwork to clients, take payments from clients, and maintain medical records. Positions start as soon as possible.


Hours: We are hiring for a 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. shift for Monday through Friday. Schedule may be subject to change and occasionally include morning (8:00am-12:00pm) and evening hours (5:00pm-8:30pm).T

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with a diverse client population about healthcare services, appointments, paperwork, and payments needed.
  • Check-in clients, take payments, and maintain electronic medical records.
  • Schedule appointments for clients and meetings for administrative team.
  • Maintain HIPAA training and standards, including maintaining confidentiality of client information.  
  • Reserve and print parking passes.
  • Answer incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain safe and clean reception areas.
  • Distribute Center mail and office supplies; maintain and organize supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to a team effort by communicating actions, irregularities, and needs to the supervisor, including making suggestions that improve the Sorenson Center process.
  • Open, close, and maintain the Sorenson Center art gallery.
  • Help with ongoing Sorenson Center projects.
  • Track and submit maintenance requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of professional experience in a reception or customer service position
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA
  • Reliable, trustworthy, good worker
  • Friendly, outgoing, strong communication skills
  • Independent Worker
  • Excellent spoken and written language skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
  • Prior use of an electronic medical record system
