Overview

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice at Utah State University is seeking applicants for a Program Assistant II position. This position will provide a combination of program-related and/or administrative functions that supports the Pyramid Model project including purchasing, scheduling, coordinating Pyramid Model trainings and developing and dissemination of social media/public awareness materials. The successful candidate must reside in the state of Utah; work onsite (IDRPP) is preferred, other USU office/campus or home office site could be considered. This position is currently funded through December 31st, 2025, with additional position duration contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to project administrator and project staff, NIRS entry
  • Coordinates the development of promotional materials, social media marketing, recruitment materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures
  • Coordinating and purchasing Pyramid training
  • Complete travel, purchasing and reimbursements for the project
  • Performs project assignments, such as scheduling, preparing for presentations, ordering supplies
  • Coordinates program/department activities including conferences and events

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of experience or an associate degree/technical training is required.
  • Documented experience in program assistant job assignments
  • Documented experience in social media and promotional material design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in: Digital Marketing, Communication Management, Social Media Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Strong organizational skills
  2. Works well in groups
  3. Requires minimal supervision
  4. Produces products and reports in a timely manner
  5. Acquires new skills as required by the position
  6. Effective oral and written communication skills
  7. Proficient with Canvas, Adobe Express or Desygner
  8. Proficient in using Word, Excel, Qualtrics

Funding Statement

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice is one of the largest research and outreach centers at USU, and we are largely funded through grants, contracts, and fee-for-service programs. All staff positions at the IDRPP are contingent upon funding, and all senior staff at the IDRPP with graduate degrees are responsible for helping to generate funding to support our operations and growth.
