Overview

A successful candidate will act as the Performance Analytics & Reporting subject matter expert and perform ServiceNow developer responsibilities and understand business and technical terminology around Key Performance Indicators, Metrics, Dashboards, Trending, Target Setting, etc.

 

This is an in person position located in Logan, UT.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the continual improvement of Performance Analytics roadmap as well as the maturing of ServiceNow Reporting and Performance Analytics capabilities, expertise, best practices, and solutions
  • Work with multiple stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, anticipate future reporting needs & design scenarios in line with overall strategy or the organization
  • Develop, organize and conduct (regularly) process / training workshops
  • Advise university stakeholders on dashboards, reporting options and KPI best practices
  • Research new capabilities in line with latest industry trends from both technology and user innovation perspective
  • Perform system development directly related to Performance Analytics
  • Conduct integration testing
  • Accountable to ensure deliverables to university business stakeholders are complete, consistent, high-quality, on-time, and deliver valued outcomes
  • Hands-on development of dashboards, widgets, indicators and breakdowns

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The position will be hired at either level II or III based on these qualifications:
    • Programmer II: Bachelor's degree* plus 2 years of experience in an IT-related field or an equivalent** combination of experience plus education is required; holds appropriate certifications and/or demonstrates equivalent knowledge in area of expertise.
    • Programmer III: Bachelor's degree* plus 4 years of experience in an IT-related field or an equivalent** combination of education plus experience is required; holds appropriate certifications and/or demonstrates equivalent knowledge in area of expertise.

*Bachelor's degree must be in an IT-related field from an accredited 4 year institution.
**One year of education is equivalent to one year of experience for the combination of both education and experience.

  • Experience in development languages, specifically JavaScript, XML, and HTML/CSS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and be self-directed and independent
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A strong desire to produce quality work, adopt standards and adhere to those standards.
  • Working knowledge of Business Analytics and Reporting

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Web Service Integrations using REST
  • Experience in relational database systems and database queries
  • Experience with ServiceNow – Performance Analytics
  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis function including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs within IT and business organizations
