Overview

The Utah State University Admissions Office seeks an energetic student-oriented individual to join our Operations Team. The Assistant Director of Recruitment Operations reports directly to the Director of Recruitment Operations within the Admissions Office and assists them in carrying out the responsibilities of their team. The Assistant Director oversees all programming for new students including campus tours, on- and off-campus events for the Admissions Office.

 

This position plays an integral role in the overall recruitment and enrollment efforts for Utah State University, and is part of the Admissions Office leadership team. As a member of the leadership team, responsibilities include leading a team, providing recommendations on trends, and executing the vision and mission of the University.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee implementation of all recruitment events and strategies for incoming new students
  • Track statistical data of admissions and enrollment patterns, event attendance and participation and the effectiveness of recruitment activities
  • Evaluate and manage events through Recruit CRM
  • Work with the campus community (including academic colleges and Statewide Campuses) to plan communications, on- and off-campus events and other key recruitment strategies
  • Manage staff overseeing campus tours, group tours, on- and off-campus programming
  • Oversee event leads in planning, executing and evaluating events
  • Maintain a fluid calendar of events, communications and expectations for staff and students
  • Responsible for operating event budget
  • Marketing strategies for timely communication with prospective students and their parents
  • Oversee committees including professional development and those relating to office culture
  • Incoming student scholarship maintenance and assistance
  • Coordinate marketing and printed materials for events with the Director of Marketing and event leads
  • Update and maintain websites relating to events
  • Administer project management software for the Admissions Office
  • Liaison to the Student Orientation and Transition Services Office to coordinate yield strategies for incoming students
  • Ambassador Program responsibilities including curriculum development, selection, advising and managing of Canvas course

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of relevant work experience; or a master’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience planning and executing large-scale events
  • Familiarity with Customer Relations Management Software (Recruit, Salesforce), Banner, and other university software systems
  • Enrollment management or higher education experience
  • Project management
  • Experience in building and leading a team
