Overview

The Marketer & Office Coordinator position promotes marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts for USU SPARC. Their primary duties include completing clerical and administrative responsibilities, Market Research for SPARC programming, building social media campaigns, and preparing promotional materials, developing content, designing imagery and videos, executing and maintaining our digital marketing platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. 29 hours per week, non-benefited position.

Responsibilities

The Marketer & Office Coordinator position will be responsible for meeting University policies regarding marketing and branding. Participate in creating and support the SPARC marketing strategy. Assist in facilitating improvement and increased enrollment to Industry Certification and Workforce Skills Trainings, Small Business Development Center, Community Incubator & Co-working Space, SPARC Community Job Board, and Awareness of SPARC its services.

 

This position will:
Marketing & Advertising Content Development

  • Writing Copy
  • Graphic Design
  • Video Editing support
  • Stock images and video intro designs

Promotional Marketing Campaigns

  • Email
  • Social Media Platform Ads
  • Newsprint

Print and Radio

  • Responsible for press releases
  • Distributes promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and press kits
  • Course training booklets
  • Prepares and presents information to internal and external sources.

Digital Marketing Platform Maintenance and communication

  • Design social media content: videos, images, infographics
  • Automate the scheduling and responses process
  • Create direct booking or registration links (depending on the platform)
  • Use analytics to increase reach and adjust marketing strategies.
  • Platforms include but are not limited to:
    • Facebook
    • LinkedIn
    • Instagram
    • Pinterest
    • YouTube

Clerical and administrative responsibilities

  • Greet & help direct incoming guests
  • Generate Reports
  • Maintains record-keeping systems.
  • Evaluates monthly budgets and financial reports for center marketing
  • Monitors project status to verify correctness and completion.
  • Assists with planning and coordinating special events such as open houses, fundraisers, outreach and community events, tours, banquets, and exhibits.
  • Assist with co-working space needs

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with the campus community or departments to execute the position's responsibilities.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
  • Attention to detail and deadlines and ability to complete projects from start to finish.
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft 365 office suite
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Canva, or other marketing programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clerical/Secretarial: Basic
    • Type 35 wpm (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in customer service or certification: Basic
  • Ability to solve problems and recognize patterns: Intermediate
  • Experience in social media management
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data and personal information.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures.

Advertised Salary
