Overview

Serves as the main cashier at USU Blanding while balancing a diverse range of customer services and general support for the campus.  

Responsibilities

  1. Provides excellent customer service as part of the front desk reception in the Blanding Campus.
  2. Serve as main cashier for USU Blanding and receipt, process and document any funds received at the campus per the cash handling policy & procedures.
  3. Maintains accuracy and confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.
  4. May communicate daily with students, parents, staff, and/or faculty via email, phone, and in person.
  5. Assist with scanning and organizing student, scholarship and financial documents.
  6. In coordination with the Director of Housing & Dining, assist with the processing and tracking of housing and dining charges, including:
    1. Add meals plans and book/material funds to student cards
    2. Add dorm and meal plan charges to student account in Banner
    3. Process housing deposit receipts & refunds
    4. Manage and update dorm and dining master lists
  7. Provides information and coordinates with USU Blanding Business Manager with entries for the following:
    1. Motor Pool ledgers
    2. Motor Pool gas receipts.
    3. Dining Service ledgers & receipt scanning.
    4. PayPal Housing Deposits.
  8. May be required to complete Federal and/or State compliance training.
  9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or aptitude is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  1. Skilled with computers and related software.
  2. Skilled with basic office equipment, including printers, copiers, and telephone systems.
  3. Good organizational skills.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential business data and personal information.
  6. Excellent customer service skills.
