The Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence (SCCE) seeks candidates for two Psychologist positions.  These positions are contingent on funding.  Applicants with a focus in these areas are encouraged to apply:  youth mental health, rural/marginalized populations, and veterans.  Located on the main campus in Logan, Utah, this is a 1.0 FTE, term appointment, 12-month fiscal year position. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2023, although this is negotiable.

• Provide evidence-based psychological services to youth and/or adults.  It is expected that services will be provided in person and via telehealth.
• Supervise trainees (as training and licensing permits) in psychology, social work, and mental health counseling. 
• Serve as a member of the SCCE Interprofessional Education Team.
• Engage in outreach to rural and remote areas in Utah to expand the reach of clinical services in the SCCE. 
• Engage in service and outreach activities to support the mission of the Sorenson Center, Psychology Department, College, and USU.  

Minimum Qualifications:

• A doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program.
• Licensure in Utah (or eligibility for licensure) as a psychologist.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills as well as ability to work well in a diverse and inclusive team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
• Experience working in an interprofessional health care setting.
• Licensed as a psychologist for at least 2 years.
• Experience providing mental health services to youth, rural and/or marginalized populations, and/or veteran populations.

The Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence (SCCE; https://cehs.usu.edu/scce/) provides comprehensive clinical services and applied training across the lifespan, integrating across several programs and departments. Services are provided by teams of dedicated trainees and professionals who also engage in cutting-edge research related to clinical practices and interventions.  Services provided in the SCCE include: Hearing and Balance, Speech-Language, Behavioral Health (including Psychology, Psychiatry, and Marriage and Family Therapy), and applied behavior analysis services. The Behavior Health clinic includes an Integrated Assessment team that conducts comprehensive interdisciplinary evaluations for youth and adults with suspected developmental / behavioral concerns.
