The Utah State University Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice EmployAbility Clinic is seeking a qualified individual to join our team. The USU EmployAbility Clinic is dedicated to finding consumer driven employment, teaching pre-employment skills to increase greater self-sufficiency and a higher quality of life for individuals with disabilities. The position has flexible hours and requires travel within the Logan area.

The individual working in the position would be working one-on-one with clients providing the following:

• Providing on-the-job coaching to clients with disabilities.
• Self-Advocacy and Self-Determination Classes.
• Teaching and leading social skills classes.
• Writing thorough and professional client reports.
• Collaborating with other trainers to refine and develop curriculum.
• May need to provide transportation for the clients to attend job trainings. 

Minimum Qualification:

• ACRE (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators) Certified or willing to be trained.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities 3+ years.
• Teaching experience preferred, especially teaching people with disabilities.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Job offer contingent on the successful completion of a background check.

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice is Utah’s federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). Funding Statement

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice is one of the largest research and outreach centers at USU, and we are largely funded through grants, contracts, and fee for service programs. All staff positions at the IDRPP are contingent upon funding, and all senior staff at the IDRPP with graduate degrees are responsible for helping to generate funding to support our operations and growth.

The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services is home to eight departments and is committed to providing the best learning opportunities and educational research in the state of Utah.
