Overview

Reporting to the Campus Store Associate Director, the Order Fulfillment (OF) Supervisor (Supervisor I) is responsible for the supervision and operation of the OF department, maintaining a high level of customer service, as well as meeting budget and operation requires set by Campus Store administrators.

Responsibilities

  • (90%) Hires, trains, schedules, supervises, and delegates to up to 15 student employees in the completion of day-to-day Order Fulfillment tasks, such as:
    • a. Managing and fulfilling Campus Store sales orders placed through the websites, over the phone, or in-person
    • b. Providing in-store order pickup customer service
    • c. Providing customer service in person, as well as through email, chat, and phone
      • i. The OF Supervisor is expected to handle and resolve escalated customer service matters related to sales orders. If further escalation is required, it will be referred to the Associate Director
    • d. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines
    • e. Miscellaneous job-duties as assigned
  • (5%) Ensures labor, equipment/supplies, and outbound shipping costs are within budgetary requirements as set by Campus Store Director and Associate Director
    • a. Orders materials and supplies for departmental tasks
    • b. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of order fulfillment equipment and supplies
  • (5%) Manages relationship with the Campus Stores outbound shipping providers, including analyzing costs and services
  • Work Schedule:
    • 40 hrs/wk with occasional weekend, late, and early hours, especially during the beginning and end of semesters. Occasional in-state travel may be required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in a related field with one year of experience supervising others, or an equivalent of combination of education plus experience
  • One year of retail or Order Fulfillment/eCommerce experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite and RF-Smart
  • Working knowledge of FedEx shipment service
  • Microsoft Windows with intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Highly organized and self-motivated with attention to detail
  2. Ability to function well under pressure, work unsupervised, meet deadlines, and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously

Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions, such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Employees work outside and will not be protected from weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods.
