Overview

The Classroom facilitator will be working at the Utah State University Eastern center in Price. Hours vary depending on need and will be scheduled anytime between 7:30 AM-10:45 PM Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Hours are scheduled according to the IVC class schedule, plus 15 minutes before any class time. Hours will be up to 19 hours per week and will change with each semester.

  • This is for the Fall 2023 Semester.

Responsibilities

The classroom facilitator serves a variety of functions in a classroom setting. Duties include:

  • Assisting students and instructors by operating classroom equipment that is essential to the delivery of interactive video conference (IVC) classes.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of student and co-worker information
  • Professional and effective communication is required and expected.
  • Distributing and collecting classroom materials, proctoring exams and quizzes and maintaining a proper, quiet learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate class rolls and classroom materials records.
  • Act as liaison between students, University instructors and University administrators and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
