Overview

The Utah Manufacturing Extension Service at Utah State University is seeking individuals to help with the onboarding of new and current Utah manufacturers. This will include helping manufacturers register, create, and update their individual and company profiles, along with training them in how to use CONNEX™ UTAH. Individuals will also help manufacturers in their search for new supply chain opportunities along with the ability to perform outreach and marketing services to other suppliers. This position will be based out of the Logan Utah campus, telework eligible within the state of Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Individuals will assist with the rollout of Utah’s new supply chain database (CONNEX™ UTAH).
  • Successful candidates will assist with the development of a strong marketing campaign that will help Utah manufacturers become aware of the CONNEX™ UTAH database and the potential benefits to them and their supply chain.
  • They will also be involved in making direct contact with all of Utah’s manufacturing sector. Contact will exist in the form of emails, social media, phone calls, and webinars.
  • The primary goal will be to build awareness of the state-wide CONNEX™ UTAH platform and to assist Utah manufacturers with creating their own user accounts and updating their companies’ profiles.
  • Progress and contacts will need to be documented.
  • Successful candidates will be part of a team that will be tasked with building awareness of CONNEX™ UTAH. Completion of the marketing and outreach campaign is time sensitive.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills (Phone, email, social media, and webinars)
  • Ability to develop and utilize various marketing approaches
  • Familiarity with manufacturing concepts and processes
  • Your own computer with internet connections
  • Ability to work efficiently and be self-directed
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Marketing and manufacturing experience is preferred.
