USU Eastern Upward Bound, a federally funded initiative, is dedicated to empowering high school students from low-income families and those aiming to become the first in their families to attend college. Our six-week summer program offers approximately 30 Upward Bound students a holistic educational experience, blending rigorous academics with cultural and social enrichment, all within the vibrant community of USU Eastern.
Program Overview: Running from June to July, our program is designed to provide intensive academic support and personal development opportunities. Classes are held Monday through Thursday, with morning sessions starting at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 5:00 p.m., incorporating breaks for lunch and study hall.

We proudly serve 60 students from Grand, Emery, and Carbon counties throughout the school year and an additional 30 students from the same counties during our enriching summer program.
