Overview

Part-time position in the Controller's Office maintaining informational database and helping ensure that all locations which accept credit cards, online payments, and cash are following procedures for compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards (DSS) and cash handling policies.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and ensure implementation of PCI and cash handling standards across campus
  • Maintain database of devices, software, third party providers, storefronts, ecommerce sites, and other locations that accept credit cards, etc.
  • Visit storefronts regularly to meet with personnel, verify and inspect devices, and review compliance with policies and procedures related to PCI and cash handling
  • As a member of the team, meet regularly with PCI and cash handling committees to lead discussions regarding all aspects of PCI and cash handling compliance
  • Review and update related training as needed
  • Take the lead on annual self-assessments for PCI compliance
  • Communicate regularly with campus community as needed
  • Other assignments and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience with business operations and systems, or similar
  • Understanding and knowledge of internal controls
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience in successfully learning and using various software programs along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to work a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, mostly on-site
  • Self-motivated and able to successfully complete work assignments with limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MIS or similar degree
  • Experience with PCI DSS compliance
  • Understand and be familiar with technical language related to computer networks, data flow, and information security

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Outgoing personality - enjoy meeting and talking to people
  • Detail oriented
