Overview

The USU Brigham City Campus is excited to offer the position of Event Coordinator. We seek a dynamic individual to oversee events and community education. This person will schedule rooms, give tours, ensure technology is available, cater to group needs, oversee events, and interact with the community. This is a part time position with the hours being set primarily by the events offered.

Details:

  • This is a part time, twenty nine hours or less per week position
  • Compensation rate is between $12.00-$15.00 per hour, Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

  • Receiving building use requests and initiating the approvals for events
  • Schedule events and ensure that USU education in not compromised
  • Meet with and provide building tours for those wishing to use the facilities
  • Be present during events and ensure that clients’ needs are met
  • Coordinate and facilitate technology needs for events
  • Create event setup maps and ensure they are in place for events
  • Oversee the selection and work with community education instructors
  • Coordinate community education classes and oversee registration
  • Oversee the yearly lecture series
  • Maintain a positive, bright, and cheery demeanor while working with clients and staff
  • Present a positive image of USU and help prospective students obtain information
  • Coordinate additional facilitation as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have positive interpersonal skills and an inviting personality
  • Must possess Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Be flexible in job availability with the understanding that events will dictate work hours
  • Be able to work through approval, paperwork, and follow university policies
  • Possess public speaking ability to inform groups about USU offerings
  • Understand the dynamics of event coordination and the provision of quality aesthetics

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Have the capacity to understand technology and ensure it operates during events
  • Project an enthusiastic can-do demeanor while interacting with clients and staff

Advertised Salary
