Overview

Utah State University's Human Resources Team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Case Coordinator (HR Representative II) to join our team to support the Employee Relations and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about the Employee Relations and ADA functions.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides support for Employee Relations and ADA staff.
  2. Coordinates with outside offices and programs.
  3. Performs office management duties, including managing schedules/calendars, scheduling meetings, creating and processing forms, and keeping records as appropriate.
  4. Maintains and creates content for the Employee Relations and ADA websites.
  5. Provides training, instruction, liaison services and/or consultation to students, faculty, and/or staff in the use of Employee Relations and ADA services.
  6. Coordinates and may even assist in the day-to-day intake and reporting mechanisms.
  7. Maintains and updates software
  8. Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of templates, educational materials, and other forms, as requested.
  9. Participates in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
  10. Reviews and maintains highly sensitive records
  11. Coordinates Employee Relations activities including, conferences and events.
  12. Assists with investigations.
  13. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Two years of experience in human resources or related field; or an associate degree/business administration certificate plus one year of experience in human resources or related field is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Skilled in the use of computers.
  2. Ability to create, compose, and edit detailed effective written materials.
  3. Skilled at records maintenance.
  4. Database management skills.
  5. Knowledge of office management principles and procedures.
  6. Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
  7. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  8. Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
  9. Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
  10. Knowledge of University policies and procedures.

ADA

Employees typically work in an office environment and are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes. However, in certain instances employees may work outdoors and may not be protected from weather conditions. Employees nearly continuously sit and often use repetitive hand motions.
