USU is accepting applications for candidates to tutor TRIO Talent Search participants in academic subjects such as English, math, science, foreign language, and study skills, as well as standardized test preparation, and assisting with financial literacy workshops and high school orientations.
These are part-time positions on an 'as needed' basis. Multiple positions are available at Grand County, Monticello, San Juan, Whitehorse, Monument Valley, and Red Mesa High schools
The Jr Aggies Academy Caregiver position will consist of engaging children in learning and play activities. Time will be spent among the children, playing and providing learning opportunities and help with language development. The Child Caregiver will also provide for children's everyday needs such as, feeding, cleaning and helping with rest times. These positions are on the Blanding campus.
The research group of Dr. Zhongquan (Charlie) Zheng (https://engineering.usu.edu/mae/faculty/charlie-zheng/index) in Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Utah State University (USU) invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher position. The position is for one year, with possible renew for multiple years depending on performance and available funding. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related fields. Candidates must demonstrate experiences and quality publications in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), including but not limited to, immersed-boundary methods, reduced order modeling, wall-modeled large-eddy simulation, and flow control modeling with neural-network algorithms. In addition to a clear research focus, a successful applicant will also be expected to assist Dr. Zheng in mentoring graduate and undergraduate research assistants in the group, developing externally funded research programs, and participating in activities in professional societies. Anticipated start date is July 2021.

This individual will work in the Aggie Tech Department of the Campus Store. The individual will be expected to:
*Be available to work Summer semester as well as Fall and Spring semesters.
*Be available to work 15 to 25 hours per week, be at work on time, and stay until the end of shifts.
*Be well-groomed and professional in appearance and conversation.
*Take the required training from various technology companies to become proficient in talking to customers about products.
*Learn how to use the Campus Store Point-of-Sale system and cash registers to correctly carry out transactions.
*Keep sales floor clean, re-stocked, and organized.
*Take the necessary training to become a certified Apple Service Technician.
*Take and pass the University required testing to drive a University vehicle.
*Perform any other tasks required by supervisor and/or Student Lead.
*Have the ability to lift 40 pounds, kneel, bend, reach above the head to lift products from tall shelves.
*Have prior knowledge of computers and technology products. This is helpful, but not required.
Seeking several fish ecology technicians to assist with scientific field research investigating the movement patterns of Rio Grande Silvery Minnow in a contemporary fragmented river in New Mexico using raft-based mobile PIT-tag antennas.
The Institute of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism is hiring four research assistants to assist with several visitor use monitoring and management projects throughout southeastern Utah. Specific duties include conducting on-site surveys with outdoor recreationists at various outdoor recreation access points (trailheads, forest roads, lakes/reservoirs, boat ramps, etc.) throughout the Manti-LaSal National Forest as well as at state parks and state lands on the Colorado River. The data collected through the survey efforts will be used by the USDA National Forest Service, Utah State Parks, and the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands to track visitation patterns and trends, estimate visitors' economic impact, evaluate the condition of outdoor recreation settings and outdoor recreation infrastructure.
