The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Utah State University (USU) invites applications for a Professional Practice Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the Logan, Utah main campus. This is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track position with a start date of August, 2024. We particularly seek applications from individuals with criminal justice teaching experience at the university level and experience working in law enforcement.
The Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence and Department of Psychology at Utah State University in Logan, UT are seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist who will contribute to interdisciplinary care of children and adolescents. The hired individual will provide psychiatry services to clients of the Sorenson Center and engage interdisciplinary work with other providers to insure coordinated care of clients. The hired individual may also provide supervision to trainees completing rotations in the Sorenson Center. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024, although an earlier or later start date is possible.
Located on the main campus in Logan, Utah, this is a 1.0 FTE term appointment, 12-month fiscal year position. The Department of Campus Recreation in the Division of Student Affairs at Utah State University seeks a positive, collaborative, and dynamic individual to join our team as our Coordinator of Competitive Sports - Intramural Sports (Program Coordinator II). Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Youth Programs, the position is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and daily operations of all aspects of the Utah State University Intramural Sports, Unified Sports, and Esports programs. They will assist with summer camp programming alongside the Assistant Director and manage the day-to-day operations of Aggie Rec Camp. This individual will be a key team member of the Campus Recreation Department, which provides aquatic programs, club sports, fitness/wellness, intramurals, outdoor recreation, special events, extramurals, summer camp, and collaborative programs.
The Associate Director of The Office of Events oversees and is responsible for the successful operation of the Coordination Teams and Central Reservations Office within the department of The Office of Events. This position directly oversees the hiring, training, process development and empowerment of the Conference Management, Youth Programs, On-Campus Events, and Central Reservations teams ensuring that USU events “Exceed Expectations”.

The Department of Biological Engineering at Utah State University seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. The specific areas of preference are synthetic biology and synthetic biomanufacturing for engineering microorganisms including genome editing, gene circuit design, synthetic promoter development, as examples, to make bioproducts. Candidates must have an earned PhD in Biological Engineering or a related engineering discipline. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the potential for, or a strong record of, externally funded research, publications, teaching competency, and professional leadership. Candidates are expected to build a rigorous program of funded innovative research with potential for collaborations in a small but growing department as well as across the college and university. Candidates are also expected to be an excellent teacher at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. This is an academic-year (9 month) term-appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024.

USU Eastern Upward Bound is a federally funded grant program designed to encourage post-secondary preparation of high school students who are from low-income families and are first-generation college bound students. We serve 60 high school students from Grand, Emery and Carbon counties. During a six-week summer program, up to 30 Upward Bound students experience intensive academic, cultural and social expansion while living in the residence halls at USU Eastern.
The residential team leader will help supervise 4-6 high school students throughout the week and overnight in the residence halls. They will act as mentors and supervisors to the participants of the Upward Bound Summer Program. The summer program will begin approximately June 2 - July 14. Team Leaders will be asked to come for two days of some training before the start of the program – dates to be determined once all parties are hired.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity and responsibility to accompany the Upward Bound students on various adventures, and will be required to attend our end of the year trip. This year we will be going to Southern California. All expenses for these trips are included in your compensation (in addition to your base pay) and will not cost you anything. All food and housing is also included for the duration of the six-week summer program.

The Child Care Assistant Teacher will work with the Early Care and Education Center Teachers and Program Coordinator to instruct children at the childcare center located at USU Brigham City Regional Campus. Professional training will be required as part of this position. This is a non-benefitted position.
The Associate Athletics Director of Development at Utah State University (Development Officer SR) provides overall guidance and management of the Department of Athletics strategic plan to advance the philanthropic investment to Aggie student-athletes. The position is responsible for the Department of Athletics overall acquisition of major gifts and evaluating gift officer performance. The Associate Athletics Director of Development will enhances the performance of other fundraisers by helping to develop fundraising competencies, providing feedback, perspective on fundraising approach/methods, and coaching achievement of goals to realize optimal performance.
Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement and the Vice President and Director of Athletics this position sets strategies and leads fundraising for the athletics enterprise.
As a development leader on the Utah State University development team, Associate Athletics Director of Development is highly collaborative, committed to a culture of excellence, demonstrates advanced fundraising competencies, and helps sustain USU’s fundraising success and growth through their leadership.
This position requires extensive public contact with high-level alumni, donors, and volunteers.

- Work one-on-one or in small groups with high school GEAR UP (GU) students and families/guardians, providing tutoring and academic assistance.

- Interact with students, families/guardians, faculty, and/or administration using discernment, follow-through, and decision-making.
- Travel regularly to and from Carbon High School to serve high school students.
- Travel to the GEAR UP home office at Utah State University Eastern for quarterly staff meetings and annual training.
- Have annual travel opportunities to a statewide, regional, and/or national GEAR UP conference for professional development purposes, subject to funding availability.
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends for special events, such as National GEAR UP Week, parent-teacher conferences, professional development opportunities, National Senior Signing Day, or to contact students and families/guardians.
Additional Responsibilities:
- This position falls under USU’s Title IX “Responsible Employee” designation, requiring the reporting of any disclosures of sexual harassment or sexual violence to the USU Title IX Coordinator and/or appropriate school district/school authority.
- Utah law mandates reporting of child abuse or neglect to the nearest peace office, law enforcement agency, or office of the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS).

The Garfield County Office of Utah State University Extension seek a qualified individual who would be responsible for providing enriching afterschool clubs for students. Instructor Positions are available at all three Garfield County Sites (Bryce Valley, Escalante, and Panguitch). We need educators to teach a variety of subject matters; such as, but not limited to Sewing, STEM, Cake Decorating, Music, Art, Etc. Instructor may teach 4+ days a week depending on program needs and instructor availability. Instructors need to be available from 3:00-6:00 on days they are teaching M-Th and 12:00-1:30 p Friday.
Pay is based on qualifications - Starting at $8 per hour. Up to $12 per hour.
