USU Eastern Upward Bound seeks a site coordinator who is sensitive to educational, economic, social and cultural diversities unique to Upward Bound students. The site coordinator will be located within GRAND COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL and will work with Upward Bound students during and/or after school.
The advisor will help to identify students who meet UB eligibility criteria, especially those who are low-income, first-generation, those who have potential for completing high school and entering postsecondary education, and those who are considered higher risk. They will also help determine if the student has the motivation or interest in improving his/her academics, and willingness to pursue a postsecondary degree.

The UB advisor will be expected to become personally familiar with each participant, know and understand his/her academic and non-academic needs, and exert every effort to help the participant find satisfactory solutions leading to success. Counseling support will continue throughout the duration of time the participant is enrolled.

Utah State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Research and Operations (Researcher II) in the Institute of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism. The primary role assignment is teaching (95%). Within the teaching role, the successful candidate will serve as the director of the Peace Officer Academy and will provide leadership, vision, and management for the Academy, including training, certification, special projects, and support services. The faculty member will provide direction, oversight, and approval for education and training programs and activities, Academy budgets and expenditures, overall operations, reporting systems, facility and resource development, and administrative actions. This position also represents the Academy and USU in various capacities in local, state, regional, national, and international law enforcement arenas. The additional role assignment is service (5%), and the successful candidate will be expected to provide meaningful service to the department, campus, university, the profession, and the community.
The Department of Technology, Design and Technical Education in the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences will provide direct oversight for the faculty position and for the Peace Officer Academy operations as part of the technical education certificate offerings in southeastern Utah. The Peace Officer Academy and the faculty member will maintain connection and coordinate with the Criminal Justice program in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The San Juan County Office of Utah State University Extension is seeking qualified individuals to fill multiple 4-H After-school Educator positions. As a 4-H After-school Educator, you will be required to provide enriching 4-H after-school clubs for students at Blanding Elementary School. 4-H After-school Educators need to be available Monday-Thursday 3:00 pm-6:00 pm for the entire 22-23 academic school year. The position will pay $15/hr for up to 12hrs per week. This position can also be continued into being an educator for the Blanding Elementary Summer School program for up to 20hrs per week.

The Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences at Utah State University is seeking to fill a full-time (9 month) tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our Food Science program. The role for this position is 50% research, 45% teaching, and 5% Service. Applicants must have a PhD in Food Science or related area. Candidates will be expected to establish an extramurally funded and nationally recognized program of research that complements or expands existing departmental research in the area of Food Science. The department has established research programs in the areas of dairy, meat, and confectionery science. We welcome candidates who will be able to help us expand our capacity in the area of sensory science, product development, and or sustainable food production.
The department is interested in candidates with experience and interest in working with interdisciplinary teams to identify and implement science-driven solutions to problems related to food.

The Child Care Assistant Teacher will work with the Early Care and Education Center Teachers and Program Coordinator to instruct children at the childcare center located at USU Brigham City Regional Campus. Professional training will be required as part of this position.
