Overview

The Technical Coordinator for Women's Volleyball is responsible for the organization, management, and analysis of volleyball-related technology, statistics, video operations, and data systems that support the coaching staff and student-athletes. This position serves as a key resource in scouting, match preparation, practice planning, recruiting support, and performance analysis while ensuring all technology platforms operate efficiently.

 

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in volleyball analytics, video coordination, recruiting operations, or collegiate coaching.

Responsibilities

Video & Match Analysis

  • Coordinate all video operations for practices, matches, and training sessions.
  • Manage video capture, editing, coding, and distribution using platforms such as Hudl, Volleymetrics, and Volleystation.
  • Create opponent scouting reports, trend analyses, and statistical breakdowns.
  • Produce post-match and season-long performance reports for coaches and student-athletes.
  • Assist coaching staff with match preparation through video cut-ups and opponent tendencies.

Statistical Analysis

  • Collect, analyze, and present team and individual performance metrics.
  • Maintain statistical databases and historical records.
  • Develop custom reports to evaluate player development and team performance.
  • Identify trends and key performance indicators that support coaching decisions.

Technology Management

  • Serve as the primary administrator for volleyball technology systems.
  • Maintain video equipment, cameras, computers, tablets, and statistical software.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during practices and competitions.
  • Coordinate software updates and ensure data security and backup procedures.

Recruiting Support

  • Assist with the evaluation and organization of recruiting video.
  • Create recruiting databases and player evaluation reports.
  • Organize recruiting film and maintain prospect information systems.
  • Support recruiting presentations and digital content development.

Practice & Match Operations

  • Set up and manage technology for practices and matches.
  • Coordinate live statistical tracking and video exchange requirements.
  • Assist with travel preparation by organizing scouting materials and technological resources.
  • Support match-day operations related to video review systems and analytics.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate records of team statistics and analytics.
  • Help assist in education of student-manager/student Technical Coordinator
  • Coordinate data requests from coaches, administration, and conference offices.
  • Assist with special projects related to performance analysis and technology innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of volleyball rules, terminology, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with video editing and performance analysis software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Hudl, Volleymetrics, Volleystation, DataVolley, or similar platforms.
  • Collegiate volleyball playing, coaching, or support staff experience.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of NCAA recruiting and compliance regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as needed.
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to student-athlete success.
