USU Extension has received funding through Salt Lake County Opioid Settlement dollars to develop and implement an adapted SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) model in six Salt Lake County junior high schools. We are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator III to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of this pilot project across participating junior high schools.
In collaboration with the leadership team, this position will develop the intervention model and operational procedures and will supervise the team of USU Extension Intervention Specialists. In addition, they will have primary responsibility for monitoring implementation across schools, collecting evaluation data, and refining processes based on evaluation findings. They will also coordinate training and technical assistance for Intervention Specialists and provide direct intervention services in more complex cases. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact with school administrators as well as community-based treatment providers.
This position requires a high degree of independence, strong project management skills, excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, and the capacity to coordinate a complex initiative involving multiple schools and team members. This position is funded through a three-year agreement with the Salt Lake County Human Services Department. Employment beyond three years is possible but is contingent upon available funding. This is an in-person position.
