Overview

The Utah State Women's Soccer program is seeking one highly motivated and reliable Student Statistician to join our team and play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of a championship-level NCAA Division I soccer program. This position provides hands-on experience working closely with coaches and student-athletes while supporting data-based decision making, film breakdown, and opponent scout prep.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in athletics, statistics, sports management, athletic administration, or gaining experience in a high-performance team environment

Responsibilities

  • Organization of team and individual KPI presentations and reports
  • Post-game analysis of team performance based on match report data
  • Opponent analysis for scout purposes (ex. Individual pass completion and duel %’s).
  • Independent deep dive into performance data to help improve on field decision making and results
  • Perform additional analysis or report duties as assigned by coaching staff.
  • Occasional limited on field activity such as shagging balls or moving cones

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for soccer and understanding of the game.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in coaching, sports management, athletic administration, sports performance, sports medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience in statistics, generating KPI reports, and/or data analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent energy, enthusiasm, and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and team-first mentality.
