Overview

The site coordinator will oversee the afterschool program at a school in Kearns. They will work with educators, parents, and students in Kindergarten to 8th grade. The successful applicant will work up to 25 hours a week implementing afterschool work and inputting data to illustrate grant success. The site coordinator will be the primary liaison between families and the afterschool program.

Responsibilities

The site coordinator will oversee the afterschool program at a school in Kearns from 3:15-6:15 Monday to Thursday. Primary responsibilities include checking students in and out of the program, providing snack, managing behavior, recording attendance and other data, communicating with parents, and helping families and students to register for afterschool activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for helping with monthly family nights and other family activities. They will collaborate with other afterschool staff to ensure a successful afterschool program

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in an educational setting
  • High degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills
  • Experience in recruiting, supervising, and working with other adults
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills- Word, Excel and Internet
  • Experience working and/or desire to work with youth and their families
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Must be available for all hours of program operation
