The Garfield County Office of Utah State University Extension seek a qualified individual who would be responsible for providing enriching afterschool clubs for students. Instructor Positions are available at all three Garfield County Sites (Bryce Valley, Escalante, and Panguitch). We need educators to teach a variety of subject matters; such as, but not limited to Sewing, STEM, Cake Decorating, Music, Art, Etc. Instructor may teach 4+ days a week depending on program needs and instructor availability. Instructors need to be available from 3:00-6:00 on days they are teaching M-Th and 12:00-1:30 p Friday.

Pay is based on qualifications - Starting at $8 per hour. Up to $12 per hour.

• Plan and teach an engaging afterschool programming
• Keep an attendance record of those students who attend your club.
• Attend required training.
• Attend 4-H Afterschool events such as 4-H service projects, and club showcase, and Family Night Out events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must work effectively with youth, families, and school
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-Starter, good follow-through
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Job offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with youth
• Past experience in the 4-H Program as a youth or volunteer
• Skills related to STEM and other afterschool subject matter
