Overview

The Classroom Facilitator will be working at the Utah State University center in Delta. Hours will vary depending on need and selected candidate will be required to work until 10:30 PM on some days (Monday through Friday). Hours will not exceed 28 hours per week, and may change each semester. This position reports to the Southwest Region AVP. This is an ACA variable position.

Responsibilities

The classroom facilitator serves a variety of functions in a classroom setting.

Duties include:

  • Assisting students and instructors by operating classroom equipment that is essential to the delivery of interactive video conference (IVC) classes.
  • Troubleshooting technical problems that may arise with broadcast equipment.
  • Being able to communicate effectively face-to-face, over telephone, on IVC equipment, via electronic communication tools, and in writing.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms after classes end.
  • Distributing and collecting classroom materials, proctoring exams and quizzes, and maintaining a proper, quiet learning environment.
  • Maintaining accurate class rolls and classroom materials tracking procedure records.
  • Acting as a liaison between students, university instructors, and university administrators.
  • Other duties as assigned

This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.  This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.  Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
