Utah State University seeks an accomplished and collaborative nurse educator to join our nursing faculty at the Logan, Utah campus. The successful candidate will have a solid background in nursing education and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams. Primary duties are teaching (90%) and service (10%).
This is a non-tenure track, nine-month academic year position at the Professional Practice Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level beginning January 1, 2025. Review of applicants will begin in September 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.

This position fills the role of a faculty member within the USU Nursing Program. The successful candidate will provide concept-based instruction in undergraduate (BSN) courses. Areas of expected expertise include both classroom and online teaching, with experience in teaching and leadership & management. Experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing is a plus. Responsibilities include educational instruction using current methodologies and technologies, grading examinations, discussions, and assignments within prescribed deadlines, professional engagement, curriculum development, and service. The position is located at USU’s main campus in Logan, UT.

The Department of Nursing is in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services. The Baccalaureate Nursing degree, including RN to BSN completion, is offered on the Logan campus. The Practical Nursing certificate and Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing programs are offered at our Statewide (Utah) Campus sites.
The BSN program offers two tracks: pre-licensure and RN to BSN. Student admission is competitive and NCLEX pass rates, program completion, and employment have been in the upper 90% range. The new state of the art Emma Eccles Jones Advanced Nursing Education Suite has recently been completed to accommodate more students and complements the original Nursing education and simulation suites in the Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence.
