Overview

The Game Management will work home game day events for USU Eastern Athletics with various duties ranging from set up/clean up, ticket taking, concessions, and general help to the Game Management Supervisor. The successful applicant will be assigned to work various Game Management tasks concerning game day events.

Responsibilities

  • Keep score
  • Film games for the broadcast
  • Check bags upon entry
  • Ball shag at field goals for soccer
  • Retrieve and give balls at volleyball games
  • Set up and clean up prior to and after home games
  • Odd jobs given by the AD or Game Management Supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires reading, communication, and problem solving skills equivalent to a high school education or GED.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Must be dependable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with game management duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work cooperatively with fellow staff members
  • Must give excellent customer service in a professional and timely manner.
  • Must be able to work some weekends.
  • Must be a team player who can work with the students, members of the community, and athletes.

This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.  This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.  Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
