As an Aggie Shuttle Bus Driver at USU, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess excellent communication skills, and prioritize safety at all times. Training will be provided to ensure that you are well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of the position. On-Campus ACA Variable US Work Authorization is REQUIRED. All individuals hired will be expected to possess or be able to receive a class B CDL, as well as Passenger and Airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Aggie Shuttle buses to transport students, faculty, and staff to various destinations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and college policies to ensure the safety of passengers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
  • Assist with other assignments for major parking events. Such as home basketball and football games.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to undergo training to qualify for a Class B CDL, Passenger endorsement, and Airbrake endorsement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize safety and adhere to traffic laws

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
