Overview

This person is responsible for assisting the Head Rodeo Coach with the day-to-day functions of developing a new rodeo intercollegiate program at USU Blanding.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: helping with the development, organization, supervision, travel, and management of the Rodeo Team. Further duties include recruiting student athletes, monitoring and maintaining rodeo grounds, and clerical duties for Rodeo members.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Student or an associate’s degree or a combination of education and experience
  • Physical ability to ride and perform physical tasks associated with rodeo and equine activities
  • Experience managing and caring for horses and livestock
  • Valid driver’s license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others
  • Trustworthy: able to maintain confidential information as appropriate, for example, academic and health records, personal family information, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills: the ability to balance multiple projects and changing priorities without losing focus

  • High regard and strong commitment to academic achievement, development of strong personal character, and sportsmanship
