Overview

We are looking for a skilled IT professional to join our team as a Computer Technician III who will provide comprehensive technical support within the Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence, a complex HIPAA-compliant clinical environment. Opportunities for training and growth are available.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assisting with system upgrades; and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • The technician will support clinical workforce members by configuring, deploying, tracking, and properly disposing of devices; managing user accounts; and providing technical support and instruction across various Windows and Mac platforms while ensuring adherence to HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, IOS and Android) and software applications (e.g., MS Office, antivirus programs)
  • A+, Network+, or similar certification
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and security of electronic protected health information (ePHI)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new skills

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.
